Halifax International Airport — YHZ

The Halifax International Airport fuel facility consists of a jet fuel storage tank farm, an underground jet fuel hydrant system, and gasoline & diesel storage and distribution equipment. The hydrant system has undergone recent expansion to allow hydrant fueling at new gates along the north and south ends of the terminal building developed by the airport authority.

Services at this airport are provided via the airline fuel consortium and include facility administration, into-plane fueling and tank farm management. Jet fuel is received via tanker trucks, is stored using three aboveground tanks, and is distributed via the hydrant system to each aircraft gate. Approximately 30,000 flights are fuelled annually at Halifax — YHZ
